The last decade has seen a massive shift in our economy and we are starting to see entire industries disrupted and transformed. This presents a significant opportunity, and risk for business analysis professionals as we shift from a process automation focus and managing long-term capital investments in technology focus to integrating new technologies directly into our organization’s business model. It’s not about improving what we did before. It’s about changing the relationship with customers and suppliers in fundamental ways that were impossible without access to ubiquitous internet and mobile technologies, and implementing new business models that rely on that technology. BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT and the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) have joined together to examine the role of business analysis in digital transformation for organizations.
